Iowa Cubs 9 Omaha Storm Chasers 1

The Chasers got knocked around and shutdown in the finale of their four game series Sunday.  Cubs starter Chase Rusin held Omaha to just 2 hits during his five innings while working around 4 walks allowed to earn a rather easy win after Chasers starter Nate Adcock had been knocked around.  In all Adcock gave up 10 hits, 9 runs (7 ER) and a walk to take his most lopsided defeat of the year.  The right-hander after performing fairly well in Omaha has given up 14 earned runs in his last 6.1 innings allowing 18 hits over that time.

Springfield Cardinals 8 NW Arkansas Naturals 6

Yordano Ventura’s introduction to AA didn’t go so well as the right-hander gave up 7 runs on 9 hits and 2 walks in just 4.2 innings.  The damage to Ventura started in the 3rd inning when the Cardinals put up a pair of runs with a walk and a double followed by a couple sac flies.  A two run single plated another pair in the 4th and a run of three consecutive singles preceded another double to end Ventura’s day in the 5th.  The Naturals cut the lead to 2 but Brian Fletcher grounded into a double play to end the game.

About The Author

I grew up on the mean gravel roads of Iowa where I started my love for baseball from the age of 2. George Brett and the voice of Denny Matthews deepened my love even more for the Royals as my father and I spent summers listening to the team on our deck or in the car on our way to or from my little league and high school games. Sports was always the common bond that my father and I enjoyed and the Royals were in the center of that.I currently live in La Vista with my wife, two sons, two dogs and a pair of gross cats where we are grinding through until we can move somewhere warm when we retire. I own Casino Cab Company and Bluffs Affordable Auto Repair in Council Bluffs trying to build my 1% empire. If you are in the area you can find me at Omaha Storm Chasers games on most nights or just follow me on twitter @ClintScoles.

I was going to send this question through the Contact Us tab but havn’t been able to get it to work in the past w/ the 5+2=* thing @ the bottom. Any way, I have an old baseball card collection from 80s & 90s that I was wanting to get rid of. I know some on here are big baseball card junkies. My question is how or where is the best place to sell it? Just wanting a best offer & know its not worth much but open to all suggestions. Thx in adv
