About the author

Clint Scoles

I grew up on the mean gravel roads of Iowa where I started my love for baseball from the age of 2. George Brett and the voice of Denny Matthews deepened my love even more for the Royals as my father and I spent summers listening to the team on our deck or in the car on our way to or from my little league and high school games. Sports was always the common bond that my father and I enjoyed and the Royals were in the center of that. I currently live in La Vista with my wife, two sons, two dogs and a pair of gross cats where we are grinding through until we can move somewhere warm when we retire. I own Casino Cab Company and Bluffs Affordable Auto Repair in Council Bluffs trying to build my 1% empire. If you are in the area you can find me at Omaha Storm Chasers games on most nights or just follow me on twitter @ClintScoles.

Hi guys. One of your best podcasts ever. I thought your questions to Kevin Seitzer were excellent and you got some straight forward honest answers. I think it gave a very good insight into one of the major issues with the Royals, that being Ned Yost is forcing an offense that does not match the stadium or the players he is blessed with.

I also listened to Royals Vault podcast (with Rex Hudler) for the first time this week. I think you guys are a world better than them. Took forever to frame questions and really nothing meaningful from the interview or discussions (unless a KU fan).

By the way, I think we have the answer to why Hosmer and Moustakas failed last year. It was all because of Uncle Hud.

One question. Clint said there were revelations this week about why Hosmer slumped so badly last year…having to do with listening to all the wrong people. Can you point me to a link where you got the info as I said that all last year and this winter and kept getting blasted for it. Would love to have some evidence to prove my case.

Anyway, great podcast. Keep up the good work. And by the way, big coup getting the interview with Robert Ford before he left to become the voice of the Astros. Good week for you all around.

    Take care
